It's official, I'm now 25 years old as of February 14th, 2013! How old did you think I was? (no, seriously, let me know down in the comments below)
I went to a concert on the weekend and was feeling inspired to make some more Valentine art, so here's what you'll need:
DOLLAR STORE:
Canvas
Paint Palette
Paint Brushes (Assorted Sizes) / Sponge / Old Toothbrush
Acrylic Paints:
(Christmas) Red
White
Black (if you want to darken the red in some sections of your art, add some character),
Gold (Cream gold, the yellow gold looks fake)
White Tissue Paper
Liquid Glue
Water
Small cup
Sheet music (you can print it out yourself or tear out of an old hymn book, which you can by at the thrift store)
Optional: Tea (like orange pekoe) to age your paper if need be
You just soak a couple of tea bag in water, then swap them out and put in your sheet music, individually. More tea or longer you keep in the water the darker it will be.
Alternate: Wet your tea bags and dab the sheet music until desired effect. You can also make it the colour uneven to add some character.
