Nothing says spring than hearing nature come back to life: the birds are chirping their musical tunes, the flowers grow back and the butterflies flutter on the wind. In anticipation of spring, let's deck out the house with beautiful decor.
Here's what you'll need:
DOLLAR STORE:
White Card stock or Strong Art Paper with good toothe/hand (allows rich colour and mix-mediums)
Drawing Pens (05, 03 and 01, or a small, medium and large along those lines)
Cotton Twine (if you're not particular about it matching the paper)
WAL-MART or Craft Store:
Laurentian or Prismacolour Pencil Crayons (NO CRAYOLA!!!! They are designed for children to young teens, NOT artists)
S-Curves or Curvy (snake-like) ruler (can also be found at a fabric store)
Cream/Ivory Crochet Cord (if you're particular about matching the papers)
THRIFT STORE:
Old Book (I used a hymn book, wasn't even English)
RUMMAGE:
Pencil (manual or mechanical)
eraser (manual or mechanical)
Pencil Sharpener (manual or mechanical)
Scissors
Small Hole Punch
Inspirational Images of Butterflies, Dragonflies, Birds, etc. that remind you of spring that have lots of vibrant spring colours
*If you don't want to draw, colour or paint your 'creatures' you can cheat by printing them out on the paper listed above
** You can also choose to write a springtime related inspirational proverb or scripture verse. (I chose Psalm 19:1-3)
As always, if you have any comments, requests, questions, etc. feel free to give me a shout in the comments below. Lots of Love!
